What happens when the door opens and the prayer is answered, what's next?
You take a step of faith. There have been times in my life where I have totally missed the doors opening for me but there have also been times where I was too afraid to walk through them. As I've gotten older, I started to wonder about the what if's and started to understand that in order for me grow and be successful that I need to take a step of faith. I remember hearing in a song that said, “success is not defined by results, but success is defined by obedience.” Taking a step of faith is never easy because it relies on us to go forward without seeing what is ahead and what we will be walking into. Faith requires us to be obedient when a decision needs to be made, even when we may not understand or know what the results will be. We must be able to trust that God will take care of everything. I hope that when I look back in my life that I can say that I stepped out in faith more times that I can count. Regardless if the decisions that were made were a success or a failure, they helped shape who I have become.
